Date: March 21, 2025.
Race Headquarters: Chambers RV Park at beautiful Lake Cuyamaca, CA
Race Start: 24 Hour, 12 Hour, and 6 Hour distances begin at 8AM.
Awards: All entrants will receive cool swag (that's different every year) and an awesome finishers medal. Runners in the 24-hour event who complete 100 miles or more will receive a Pirate's Cove buckle. Unique custom made awards will be given in all 3 events to the top 3 overall male and female and to best male and female pirate costumes. Special gift given to legacy runners as well!
Course: 2 mile lollipop loop (with approx.150 feet of elevation gain per loop) starting at Chambers RV Park going across the dike on the East end of the lake with one climb up over Fletcher Island, to a turn around, (where the Ghost of Lake Cuyamaca awaits), and then returning back to the RV Park. Course will be marked with reflective red arrows and pink ribbons.
There will be one major aid station in the rv park (spaces 7 & 8) which will take care of you after each loop. (You will also pass by your vehicle each loop and are welcome and encouraged to use your car as your personal aid station, sleeping quarters, etc) Cold and hot food supplied to all participants which will include but not limited to: various snacks, pb&j, bean & cheese burritos, hot soup, potatoes, fruit, Coke, and Gingerale. French toast sticks, coffee & hot cocoa served after midnight.
Hydration and electrolytes provided by Tailwind Nutrition. Gels, waffles, and salt capsules provided by GU Energy. Anti-chafe/blister skin salve provided by Squirrel's Nut Butter.
There is a restaurant and store on the property to support the crews. Please no crews eating off the aid station tables.
Race Rules:
6, 12 and 24 hr participants must complete a full loop for it to count. Pace and rest times are up to you. Once you retire your chip, you are out of the race and cannot return to add more loops.
